On September 3, 2026, NVIDIA announced that it has agreed to acquire open-source AI platform Hugging Face for $12.9 billion. Together, NVIDIA and Hugging Face plan to scale Hugging Face’s platform, strengthen its infrastructure, and expand access to AI for developers and institutions worldwide.
