Since opening our Austin office in 1999, the firm has built strong relationships with leading technology companies, entrepreneurs, and venture capital firms in Texas and throughout the region, enabling our team of Austin attorneys to assist clients based in the state, as well as those with Texas operations.

The Austin office serves clients in many growth industries, including business services, communications and networking, electronics and computer hardware, energy and clean technology, financial services, internet and media, life sciences, semiconductors, software, and venture capital.

Our attorneys provide clients with highly tailored services specifically designed to address their immediate legal concerns and further their long-term business strategies. We advise clients on corporate formations, venture capital financings, and complex technology and business transactions, as well as strategic alliances and joint ventures. We have significant experience representing companies in initial public offerings and secondary offerings, guiding clients through mergers and acquisitions, and providing representation on issues of employment law, corporate governance, and the licensing and protection of intellectual property.

In addition, our Texas-based litigators have substantial experience in complex intellectual property disputes involving patents, copyrights, trademarks, and trade secrets, having represented clients in federal and state court litigation and arbitrations in Texas and throughout the country, as well as before the International Trade Commission. Our litigators also have significant experience in commercial, employment, and securities litigation.

Through the seamless integration of all Wilson Sonsini offices, we leverage the institutional experience and resources of the entire firm to provide high-quality services to clients.
