About Our New York Office

Wilson Sonsini's New York City office brings the firm's extensive experience with technology and high-growth industries to clients in the Northeast region. Our knowledge extends to regional industries that include investment banking and financial services, communications and networking, computer hardware and software, information services, media and entertainment, food and food service, consumer and retail, and life sciences, particularly biotechnology, medical devices, and global generics.

Our local experience includes facilitating the corporate formation of start-ups; negotiating venture capital financing; advising on strategic alliances and joint ventures; and preparing companies for initial public offerings, secondary offerings, and mergers and acquisitions. We have vast experience representing venture capitalists and investment banks, and we regularly advise public companies regarding antitrust law, employment law, corporate governance, corporate finance, debt management, and intellectual property protection.

Our attorneys successfully have defended clients in high-profile securities, white collar criminal, antitrust, employment, and consumer class action litigation. Their experience includes representing clients before various state and federal trial and appellate courts, as well as the U.S. Supreme Court. Several of our New York attorneys have clerked for Second Circuit judges, as well as United States district judges in both the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. In addition, a number have served in both the criminal and civil divisions of the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York, including in supervisory and appellate positions.

Through the seamless integration of all Wilson Sonsini offices, we leverage the institutional experience and resources of the entire firm to provide high-quality services to clients. Our proprietary collaborative systems give our attorneys immediate access to the firm's collective expertise and knowledge, enabling them to respond quickly with effective solutions for our clients.
