Wilson Sonsini is committed to the principle that diversity, equity, and inclusion are vital components of a thriving organization. Diversity of thought, experience, identity, and background, as well as an inclusive culture, enable our firm to deliver greater value to our clients, provide a welcoming environment for all of our employees, and make meaningful, lasting contributions to our internal and external communities.
The leaders of our firm are representative of our diverse community, holding prominent roles at all levels of management and on our various firm committees.
In October 2024, Wilson Sonsini held its Women’s Leadership Summit, which featured two days of workshops, panel discussions, and more, focused on building connections, leadership, and career development. The summit brought together individuals from across the firm's offices and provided numerous opportunities for colleagues to meet and network.
Additionally, in February and November 2024, Wilson Sonsini hosted its fourth and fifth annual 1L Student Diversity Summits. A combined 300 first-year students joined us virtually for a series of panels and discussions. They met attorneys from a variety of practices and offices, heard from clients about their career paths and their work, learned about succeeding in Big Law, and practiced their networking skills. Throughout the summit, our scholars experienced first-hand our firm’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, gained a better understanding of the law firm recruitment process, and heard great advice on navigating law school and the legal profession from a variety of perspectives.
The firm held a 2025 1L Virtual Diversity Summit on November 21, 2025.
Our Affinity Groups (1st Gen @ Wilson, Asian @ Wilson, Black @ Wilson, Latin @ Wilson (LAW), Parents and Caregivers @ Wilson, Pride @ Wilson, Veterans and Military Families @ Wilson, Wellness @ Wilson, and Women of Wilson (WoW)) provide opportunities for attorneys and staff to connect across offices and practice groups, coordinate events and other initiatives where employees can celebrate the many backgrounds and identities represented at the firm, build meaningful community, and become more involved and visible at the firm. Affinity groups are open to all firm employees.
