On August 17, 2026, Gravis Robotics, a company retrofitting construction machines with autonomous technology, announced their Series A financing, with SoftBank investing $200 million in the company. The funding is the largest Series A in construction robotics history and will be used to scale autonomous machinery, bringing physical artificial intelligence (AI) directly to construction sites and embedding autonomous systems into heavy machinery fleets.
