Firm Advises Frontier Computing on $10 Million Pre-Seed Round
On September 1, 2026, Frontier Computing announced that it has raised $10 million in a pre-seed round of financing. The round was led by General Catalyst, with participation from Amino Collective, LocalGlobe, Kaya, and Long Journey Ventures. Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati advised Frontier Computing on the transaction.

The UK-based start-up is growing the first biological brain systems at scale for machine learning training and inference workloads. Led by Cambridge natural scientist Michael Domarkas, the company says it has solved the vascularization problem that keeps academic brain organoids below 1 million neurons.

The Wilson Sonsini team that advised Frontier on the financing included Brad Doline, Michael Labriola, and Liam Holohan.

European Commission Adopts First Article 102 Guidelines on Exclusionary Abuses: Four Key Takeaways for Businesses
On September 3, 2026, the European Commission (EC) adopted its first Guidelines on the application of Article 102 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union (TFEU) to exclusionary abuses of dominance (the Guidelines). The Guidelines provide a comprehensive framework for assessing dominance, exclusionary conduct, and objective justifications under European Union (EU) antitrust rules. The EC intends the Guidelines to increase legal certainty and help companies self-assess their conduct, while also providing a non-binding reference point for European national competition authorities and courts.1

On September 10, 2026, Autodesk, Inc., completed its offering of $500 million aggregate principal amount of 5.050 percent senior notes due 2029 and $500 million aggregate principal amount of 5.650 percent senior notes due 2033 (together, the “Notes”). Autodesk intends to use the net proceeds from the sale of the Notes, together with cash on hand, to repay $1 billion aggregate principal amount under its existing term loan credit agreement.
