Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati is pleased to support the 27th Annual Berkeley-Stanford Advanced Patent Law Institute, a premier program that brings together patent litigators, prosecutors, senior in-house intellectual property (IP) counsel, academics, and judges for two days of candid, practical discussion of where patent law is headed.
This year’s program includes a judicial fireside with Judge Leonard Stark of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and district judges from the Northern District of California, the Southern District of California, and the District of Delaware; Mark Lemley’s Patent Year in Review; and sessions on injunctions, inter partes review (IPR), fair, reasonable, and non-discriminatory (FRAND) licensing, the Unified Patent Court (UPC), and artificial intelligence (AI).
On Friday, December 4, at 10:00 a.m., Michael Rosato, a partner in the firm’s Litigation practice, will speak on the panel “The Return of Reexam: Advanced Petition Practice,” moderated by David O’Brien (Haynes Boone), with Roshan Mansinghani (Unified Patents) and Chris Kao (Pillsbury).
On Friday, December 4, at 1:45 p.m., Ali Alemozafar, a partner in the firm’s Patents and Innovations practice, will speak on the panel “Dollars and Sense: The Economics of Prosecution in the AI Era,” moderated by Molly Kocialski (Holland & Hart), with Eric Lin (Patlytics) and Jordan Becker (Van Hoven).
Wilson Sonsini is honored to participate in and support this important forum for thought leadership within the IP community.
