Lester Ang represents private and start-up companies in matters ranging from incorporation and initial capitalization to venture capital and debt financing and board fiduciary duties. He also represents public companies in securities offerings, M&A transactions, SEC reporting, and corporate governance matters. Lester works with private and public technology and life sciences companies through all stages of growth, as well as with investment banks, venture capital firms, and private equity firms.

On September 14, 2023, Moment, a new company seeking to revolutionize capital markets and make fixed income more accessible, transparent, and efficient for all investors, announced it has raised a $17 million Series A funding round led by Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), with participation from Venrock, Contrary, Neo, and Henry R. Kravis, bringing Moment's total amount raised to over $20 million. Moment also announced their partnership with Apex Fintech Solutions—a global leader in clearing and custody solutions. Together, Moment and Apex will be rolling out their suite of fixed income APIs to over 220 broker-dealer clients representing over $120 billion in assets under custody.

Wilson Sonsini Advises Treehouse in $10 Million Series Seed Funding
On August 9, 2023, Treehouse, an electrification company that delivers turnkey installations for home EV charging, announced it has secured $10 million in funding. The round was led by Montage Ventures and Trucks Venture Capital, with participation from CarMax, Assurant Ventures, Acrew Capital, Gutter Capital, Detroit Venture Partners, Holman, and Automotive Ventures. Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati advised Treehouse on the transaction.

Treehouse’s mission is to simplify electrification through software-enabled Installation-as-a-Service, empowering people to live more sustainable lives and accelerating the decarbonization of the places we live and work. The funds from the round will be used to expand Treehouse's Installation-as-a-Service offering to more than 30 states in the next 12 months, while investing in software that can expand the offering to other electrification products.
