On September 10, 2026, Baseten, an artificial intelligence inference company, announced that it has acquired Blaxel, an infrastructure company building secure, persistent execution environments for AI agents. The acquisition expands Baseten's platform to bring reliable, secure, and cost-effective infrastructure agents need to run code, use tools, and maintain state.
