On April 17, 2026, UCB, a global biopharmaceutical company, announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement under which UCB would acquire Neurona Therapeutics, including lead asset NRTX-1001, adding to UCB’s epilepsy portfolio. Neurona Therapeutics is a clinical-stage biotherapeutics company focused on advancing regenerative cell therapies for epilepsies and other disorders of the nervous system. Under the terms of the agreement, UCB will pay $650 million upfront and up to $500 million in potential future milestone payments, subject to certain closing conditions. Wilson Sonsini Advises Foresight Diagnostics on Acquisition by Natera
On December 5, 2025, Natera, Inc., a global leader in cell-free DNA and precision medicine, and Foresight Diagnostics, a leader in ultrasensitive molecular residual disease (MRD) detection, announced that Natera has completed its acquisition of Foresight in an all-stock transaction consisting of a $275 million upfront payment with an additional $175 million in earnouts tied to the achievement of revenue- and reimbursement-based milestones. Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati advised Foresight on the transaction.

The transaction combines Natera’s leading commercial and operational infrastructure for the delivery of personalized MRD testing with Foresight’s unique phased variant technology and leadership in lymphoma. It builds on Natera’s broad intellectual property portfolio for tumor-informed and personalized MRD products including in phased variants, and promises to accelerate MRD adoption in lymphoma and other solid tumor types.

Lightsynq was founded by former Harvard quantum networking experts and Amazon Web Services (AWS) Center for Quantum Networking leaders Dr. Mihir Bhaskar (CEO), Dr. Bart Machielse (CTO), and Dr. David Levonian (CPO) with the goal of building the leading photonic interconnect platform to enable high-fidelity, multi-nodal qubit operations. Lightsynq’s approach not only supports modular scalability, but also advances fault-tolerance for creating the world’s most powerful interconnected quantum systems. Lightsynq’s unique architecture provides a powerful platform to support IonQ’s quantum computers and advance the company’s quantum networking roadmap.

IonQ will also acquire ownership of Lightsynq’s portfolio of over 20 technology patents and patent applications related to quantum memory, further strengthening IonQ’s growing intellectual property position.

The strategic acquisition pairs Socure’s best-in-class digital identity verification and fraud solutions with a developer-friendly AI orchestration and decisions platform. With this acquisition, Socure—which serves more than 2,700 customers and has verified more than 2.26 billion identities over the past 12 months—further solidifies its leadership position in the identity verification and fraud prevention market, and is propelled into the $200 billion enterprise fraud industry, which additionally encompasses payments fraud, credit underwriting, and AML transaction monitoring. The transaction is expected to close in November.
