On July 18, 2025, dYdX, a decentralized derivatives exchange, announced its recent acquisition of Pocket Protector, a crypto social trading platform. The acquisition includes Pocket Protector’s products joining the dYdX product suite and brings Pocket Protector’s engineering team to dYdX. With this recent addition, dYdX plans to expand into new forms of trading and integrate social features into its core products. Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati advised dYdX on the transaction.

The Wilson Sonsini team that advised dYdX was led by Ethan Lutske. The team also included Elia Perez Villamarin, Robert Gunn, Scott McKinney, Myra Sutanto Shen, and Michael Klippert.
