Wilson Sonsini's 2026 Mid-Year Technology and Life Sciences IPO Report presents in-depth analysis related to 37 initial public offerings (IPOs) with deal values exceeding $75 million or direct listings completed by U.S.-based technology and life sciences companies between January 1 and June 30, 2026.

Highlights of our analysis include:

• Market Improvement: The IPO market for technology and life sciences companies in the first half of 2026 showed significant improvement compared with recent years, with 37 IPOs or direct listings, more than double the 18 IPOs or direct listings observed in the first half of 2025. Though still far from the highs of 2020 and 2021, the market so far in 2026 has shown a significant overall improvement from previous years.
• Technology IPOs: Fifteen technology companies priced IPOs with deal values above $75 million during the first half of 2026. Aerospace and defense led all technology sub-sectors in the period, with five IPOs.
• Life Sciences Activity: Sixteen life sciences companies priced IPOs with deal values above $75 million during the first half of 2026. Of the 16 life sciences IPOs, six were completed by biotech companies and six were in the pharmaceutical sector.
