On December 11, 2025, Runware, which powers media generation for some of the largest marketing and social content platforms in the world, announced that it has raised $50 million in Series A financing. The round was led by Dawn Capital, alongside Comcast Ventures, DST, Speedinvest, and insiders including Insight Partners and a16z speedrun. Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati advised Runware on the transaction.
Runware’s vertically integrated AI-inference platform makes image, video, and audio generation scalable to millions of users, with up to 10x lower pricing and faster inference than competitors, via a single unified API. Runware achieves its scale and cost savings by integrating custom-designed and built AI inference hardware with optimized software in its Sonic Inference Engine.® The company, founded in 2023 by Flaviu Radulescu and Ioana Hreninciuc, has already powered over 5 billion creations for more than 100,000 developers and over 300 million end-users worldwide—all through a single API.
