On January 13, 2026, Polygon Labs announced definitive agreements to acquire Coinme and Sequence for more than $250 million to expand into regulated stablecoin payments in the U.S. Both companies will play foundational roles in building Polygon's forthcoming Open Money Stack, which aims to facilitate instant and reliable money movement. The Polygon Open Money Stack includes physical cash and digital fiat on- and off-ramps, wallet infrastructure, and cross-chain orchestration through intents. Wilson Sonsini Advises Cursor on Acquisition of Graphite
On December 19, 2025, Cursor, the leading AI development platform, announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Graphite, a start-up that uses AI to review code. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati advised Cursor on the transaction.

The transaction brings together best-in-class tools for creating, reviewing, and merging code in the AI age. Graphite will continue to operate independently, with the same team and product. According to Cursor, in the coming months the two companies will explore connecting their products, for instance with tighter integrations between local development and pull requests and smarter code review that learns from both systems.

Wilson Sonsini Advises Foresight Diagnostics on Acquisition by Natera
On December 5, 2025, Natera, Inc., a global leader in cell-free DNA and precision medicine, and Foresight Diagnostics, a leader in ultrasensitive molecular residual disease (MRD) detection, announced that Natera has completed its acquisition of Foresight in an all-stock transaction consisting of a $275 million upfront payment with an additional $175 million in earnouts tied to the achievement of revenue- and reimbursement-based milestones. Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati advised Foresight on the transaction.

The transaction combines Natera’s leading commercial and operational infrastructure for the delivery of personalized MRD testing with Foresight’s unique phased variant technology and leadership in lymphoma. It builds on Natera’s broad intellectual property portfolio for tumor-informed and personalized MRD products including in phased variants, and promises to accelerate MRD adoption in lymphoma and other solid tumor types.

On June 24, 2025, New Zealand-based Xero Limited, a global small business platform that helps customers supercharge their business by bringing together the most important small business tools, announced it has entered into an agreement to acquire U.S.-based Melio Limited, a leading SMB bill pay platform that seamlessly integrates accounting and payments, and its associated entities (collectively Melio). The acquisition is expected to be funded through a mix of cash and equity, with an upfront consideration of $2.5 billion in cash and equity consideration and up to $500 million in contingent consideration, deferrals and rollovers payable to Melio employees. Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati is serving as lead counsel to Xero on the acquisition.

Lightsynq’s team and IP are expected to significantly accelerate both IonQ’s quantum networking and quantum computing roadmaps. Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati is advising IonQ on the transaction.

Lightsynq was founded by former Harvard quantum networking experts and Amazon Web Services (AWS) Center for Quantum Networking leaders Dr. Mihir Bhaskar (CEO), Dr. Bart Machielse (CTO), and Dr. David Levonian (CPO) with the goal of building the leading photonic interconnect platform to enable high-fidelity, multi-nodal qubit operations. Lightsynq’s approach not only supports modular scalability, but also advances fault-tolerance for creating the world’s most powerful interconnected quantum systems. Lightsynq’s unique architecture provides a powerful platform to support IonQ’s quantum computers and advance the company’s quantum networking roadmap.

IonQ will also acquire ownership of Lightsynq’s portfolio of over 20 technology patents and patent applications related to quantum memory, further strengthening IonQ’s growing intellectual property position.
