On May 18, 2023, software company GTreasury announced a majority investment from Hg, an investor in global software and services companies. Mainsail Partners, a Wilson Sonsini client and the current majority owner, and members of the GTreasury management team will remain as investors in the business. Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati advised GTreasury on the transaction.

Chicago-based GTreasury provides treasury, payments, and risk management software, which helps treasury departments manage liquidity needs, payment execution, bank relationships, FX hedging, and auditing and compliance requirements. The company has more than 700 customers across 30 industries in over 160 countries.

Hg plans to implement operational improvements while investing in more product development and continuing its global expansion plans, including Asia Pacific regions and in Europe. Hg has more than $65 billion in funds under management and a portfolio of more than 45 businesses.
