Moncarol Wang is an associate in the Palo Alto office of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, where her practice focuses on real estate. She represents clients in a wide range of commercial real estate and business transactions, with particular expertise in buy-side acquisitions and tenant-side office, life science, and industrial leasing. In addition to her commercial acquisitions and leasing practice, Moncarol advises and counsels corporate clients on real estate issues that arise in mergers and acquisitions across various industries.

During law school at the University of Chicago, she served as staff for the student-edited topical legal journal The University of Chicago Legal Forum for two years. She also served with the Corporate Lab Clinic, where she assisted clients with regulatory and copyright matters. In addition, she completed a summer internship during this time with Calpine Corporation’s legal department.

Before law school, Moncarol completed her undergraduate studies at the University of California, Berkeley, and worked in tax compliance and consulting at Deloitte Tax’s San Jose office. She also worked as an assistant at San Francisco boutique law firm Buffington & Aaron.

On January 22, 2026, Capital One announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Brex, in a combination of stock and cash transaction valued at $5.15 billion. Brex is a modern, AI-native software platform offering intelligent finance solutions that make it easy for businesses to issue corporate cards, automate expense management, and make secure, real-time payments. The transaction is expected to close in the middle of 2026, subject to customary closing conditions. Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati advised Brex on the transaction.
