Catherine Zinn is chief client officer at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati. A nationally recognized law firm strategy executive with 30 years of experience spanning the legal, technology, energy transitions, and financial services industries, Catherine brings a distinctive ability to make connections across markets, understand what drives business leaders, and turn those insights into action.

Catherine is often described as a “super-connector” in the legal, technology, and financial services sectors, having advised high-growth companies, connected entrepreneurs with capital, and worked with executives from some of the world’s largest companies to develop partnerships, consortia, advisory boards, and other strategic initiatives. Her cross-industry perspective has given her a nuanced understanding of how leaders make decisions, respond to change, and position their organizations for long-term growth.

Prior to joining Wilson Sonsini, Catherine served as the inaugural chief client officer at Baker Botts. She worked closely with firm leadership in a market-facing role, overseeing various aspects of strategy, talent, growth, sales, marketing, communications, and brand. She previously held similar positions at Orrick, DLA Piper, and JAMS.

Catherine serves as a board member and advisor to several for-profit and nonprofit organizations, including the Law Foundation of Silicon Valley, Legal Momentum, Silicon Valley Directors’ Exchange, Tronic, Goldcast, The Fitness Furniture Company, and Shatter Fund.

Catherine’s leadership and contributions have earned numerous accolades, including the NACD Directorship 100™ from the National Association of Corporate Directors; “Woman of Influence” from the Silicon Valley Business Journal; “Woman of Achievement” from Legal Momentum; recognition as one of the “Top 100 Women in Law” by Women Who Lead; and recognition as one of the “Top 50 Women Leaders of San Francisco” by Women We Admire.
