    Catherine is an experienced litigator who represented companies and their officers and directors in dozens of securities class actions, derivative lawsuits, internal investigations, and SEC investigations. She regularly counseled companies on matters of corporate governance and fiduciary duties.

Catherine Moreno retired as a partner from Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati in 2024. Catherine specialized in securities litigation and counseling, including the defense of companies and their directors and officers in class actions, derivative lawsuits, and M&A litigation. She also focused on internal investigations and in defending companies and individuals in SEC enforcement proceedings involving allegations of insider trading, securities fraud, and reporting violations. In addition, Catherine brought to her practice experience in a variety of commercial litigation matters and has been a frequent speaker and lecturer on issues of securities fraud, accounting misstatements, and insider trading.
