Carol Evrard is an associate in the Brussels office of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, where her practice focuses on privacy and data protection law.
Carol advises organizations of all sizes on the European and Belgian privacy data protection laws. She has worked on a number of GDPR compliance projects and has experience in advisory, regulatory, litigation, and transactional matters for international and local companies. She advises on various privacy issues arising from emerging technologies in a range of industries, including artificial intelligence, connected devices, autonomous vehicles, cloud computing, telecommunications, cybersecurity and data analytics.
Carol also assists clients on matters related to international data transfers, including certification to the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield framework, implementation of Standard Contractual Clauses, and approval of Binding Corporate Rules by EU Data Protection Authorities.
Prior to joining the firm, Carol worked in the Technology, Media, Telecommunications & Data Protection department of the Brussels office of Stibbe.
Carol is a native French speaker. She is fluent in English and is familiar with Dutch and Italian.
