Aurore Troussel is an associate in the Brussels office of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, where her practice focuses on artificial intelligence, data protection, privacy, cybersecurity, content moderation, and digital platform regulation.
She advises multinational clients on all aspects of European privacy and data protection law in addition to current and upcoming EU regulations, including the Artificial Intelligence Act, the Digital Services Act, the Data Act, the Data Governance Act, the Digital Markets Act, the Cyber Resilience Act, and the NIS2 Directive.
Aurore brings a strong academic and technical background to her practice. She completed a Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence and Law at the University of Montreal and HEC Paris. Her doctoral research examined the regulatory tools and policies of large digital platforms, with a particular focus on content moderation and systemic risk mitigation.
Prior to joining the firm, Aurore worked at the Brussels office of Steptoe & Johnson on the data, privacy, and cyberecurity team. She also trained at Norton Rose Fulbright in Paris in antitrust and competition law, worked with an online dispute resolution platform at Station F, and served as a legal trainee at the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Competition.
