August Renshaw is an associate in the San Diego office of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, where his practice focuses on intellectual property matters related to chemistry, biochemistry, and pharmaceuticals as part of the patents and innovations group. August has represented clients of different sizes, ranging from small, early stage start-ups to large, well-established pharmaceutical companies.
Prior to attending law school, August worked as a research scientist at Pfizer La Jolla, working on bioprocess development as part of the vaccines research group. During this time, he worked on a wide range of technologies, ranging from conjugation platforms to production of therapeutic viruses and viral particles. In graduate school, August worked in a marine natural products laboratory focused on the elucidation of the structures of new natural products and the development of analytical methods.
