On September 24, 2026, Solcoa Industries, a rare earth metals producer, announced $75 million in financing to build Solcoa One, its first commercial rare earth metalmaking plant. The round includes $45 million in equity led by Bain Capital Ventures, with participation from Gigascale Capital, Long Journey, Felicis, Dylan Field, and prominent leaders across defense and technology. Wilson Sonsini Advises Type One Energy on $200 Million Series B
On October 6, 2026, Type One Energy, the global fusion power plant developer, announced the successful completion of a $200 million Series B financing round. The financing was co-led by Breakthrough Energy Ventures and Clutterbuck Capital, with participation from Lowercarbon Capital, Siemens Energy Ventures, SiteGround Capital, and other new investors. Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati advised Type One Energy on the transaction.

The financing supports Type One Energy’s FusionDirect™ technology development program and continued execution of Project Infinity toward the world’s first commercial fusion plant at the Tennessee Valley Authority’s Bull Run site in east Tennessee. It also advances Type One Energy’s fusion industrialization strategy of building best-in-class partnerships across the value chain. This approach—differentiated within the fusion industry—applies the proven energy industry growth model to fusion and brings together the financing, manufacturing, engineering, and operational capabilities required to rapidly deploy commercial fusion at global scale.
