On February 24, 2026, Google announced its acquisition of ProducerAI, a platform that allows users to create and refine music using generative AI. Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati represented Google in the transaction.
ProducerAI uses a preview version of Lyria 3, Google DeepMind’s newest high-fidelity, professional-grade music generation model. According to Elias Roman, Senior Director of Product Management at Google Labs, the “model understands musicality—from rhythm to arrangement—and includes granular controls over parameters like tempo and time-aligned lyrics.” He describes ProducerAI as “a creative collaborator” that allows users to “turn imagination into dynamic, comprehensive songs.”
The Wilson Sonsini team that represented Google in the acquisition included David Segre, Ethan Lutske, Erin Malone-Shkurkin, Jessica Li, Chris Paniewski, Gary Greenstein, Myra Sutanto Shen, and Brandon Gantus.
