Photara Inc. recently closed an $8 million Seed financing round co-led by Voyager Ventures and Kibo Invest with support from Ahren Innovation Capital, Pace Ventures, and WovenEarth Ventures. Existing investors Prelude Ventures, Breakthrough Energy Fellows, and Baruch Future Ventures also participated in the financing. Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati advised Photara on the transaction.

Photara (formerly known as Aluminio) is focused on building tools and consumables to metallize silicon cells and eliminating the only critical material in the solar supply chain.
