On October 1, 2026, Foundational, a London-based space technology company, announced it has emerged from stealth with £8.2 million in pre-seed financing to automate and scale Satellite Laser Ranging (SLR), the technique that pins down the position of satellites and debris to millimeter precision. Participants in the round include BACKED, Final Frontier, Adjacent, Type One Ventures, and Inflection. Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati is advising Foundational on the transaction.
