On December 3, 2024, ConnectDER, a leading innovator in resilient home energy technology, announced the completion of a $35 million Series D round led by Decarbonization Partners, a partnership between BlackRock and Temasek, with participation from MassMutual Ventures, both new investors. Existing investors Avista Development, Clean Energy Ventures, Energy Innovation Capital, Evergy Ventures, LG Technology Ventures, and Zoma Capital also participated. Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati advised ConnectDER on the transaction.
ConnectDER aims to streamline energy interconnections, reduce installation errors, and create job opportunities, ultimately enhancing U.S. competitiveness in the renewable energy sector. The funding will support the launch ConnectDER's next-generation Meter Socket Adapter (MSA), the ‘IslandDER™’, which allows for seamless integration with the utility grid, enabling homes to utilize solar, battery storage, and electric vehicles for backup power.
The Wilson Sonsini team that advised ConnectDER was led by Brady Berg and Rich Evans.
