On October 22, 2025, Wilson Sonsini litigation partner Josh Baskin was named to the Daily Journal’s 2025 list of the “Top 40 Under 40,” which honors the accomplishments of California’s young attorneys.

In his profile, Josh and his team are highlighted for securing a complete jury verdict in favor of Google in Los Angeles Superior court, successfully defeating a $1.3 billion breach of contract claim. He also recently won an anti-SLAPP motion for Substack in San Francisco Superior Court, won a directed verdict on behalf of the defendant in a trademark infringement action, and represented the Natural Resources Defense Counsel, along with other conservation organizations, in a breach of contract case.

Josh emphasizes that winning cases requires a consistent approach regardless of subject matter, remarking, “To win, you have to tell a story that reconciles all of the evidence, especially your opponent's best evidence.”
