Wilson Sonsini Advises Pie on $11.5 Million Series A
On September 18, 2024, in a Wall Street Journal exclusive, Pie, a mobile events app, revealed that it has raised $11.5 million in a Series A financing round, led by Forerunner Ventures and included participation from Ev Williams (a co-founder of Twitter and founder of Medium), Origin Ventures, and Renegade Partners, as well as longtime investor Precursor Ventures. The company has raised $24 million to date.

Wilson Sonsini Advises Zynga on $12.7 Billion Acquisition by Take-Two
On January 10, 2022, Take-Two Interactive and Zynga, two leaders in interactive and mobile entertainment, announced that they have entered into a definitive agreement under which Take-Two will acquire Zynga in a cash and stock transaction valued at $9.86 per Zynga share, based on the market close as of January 7, 2022. Firm Advises MessageMedia on U.S. Aspects of $1.3 Billion Acquisition by Sinch AB
On June 9, 2021, Stockholm, Sweden-based Sinch AB, a global leader in cloud communications for mobile customer engagement, announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Australia-based MessageMedia, a leader in mobile messaging solutions for small and medium-sized businesses in the United States, Australia, New Zealand, and Europe. Sinch will pay a total enterprise value of US$1.3 billion, with a total cash consideration of US$1.1 billion and 1,128,487 new shares in Sinch. Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati is advising MessageMedia on U.S. aspects of the acquisition, which is expected to close in the second half of 2021.

Wilson Sonsini Advises Pivotal Commware on $50 Million Series C
On February 11, 2021, Pivotal Commware (Pivotal), a global leader in 5G mmWave infrastructure products, announced the closing of a $50 million Series C financing round led by an affiliate of Tracker Capital Management, a stage-agnostic venture capital investor that principally invests in high-potential technology growth companies. Tracker Capital is joined in this round by Devonshire Investors, the private investment firm affiliated with FMR LLC, the parent company of Fidelity Investments. Pivotal’s existing investors, including DIG Investment, Thermo, Lux Capital and Bill Gates, also participated in the financing. Qutoutiao Announces Pricing of Follow-On Offering
On April 2, 2019, Qutoutiao announced the pricing of its follow-on public offering of 10,000,000 American Depositary Shares (ADSs)—sold by the company and several selling shareholders—at an offering price of $10.00 per ADS for a total offering size of approximately $100 million, or approximately $115 million if the underwriters fully exercise their over-allotment option to purchase 1,500,000 additional shares.
