Wilson Sonsini Advises Chronosphere on $3.35 Billion Acquisition by Palo Alto Networks
On November 19, 2025, global cybersecurity leader Palo Alto Networks announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Chronosphere, a next-generation observability platform built to scale for the AI era, for total consideration of $3.35 billion. The combination of Chronosphere and Palo Alto Networks’ AgentiX platform will deliver real-time, agentic remediation for the world’s leading AI-native companies and strengthen Palo Alto Networks' ability to help organizations navigate a world where modern applications and AI workloads demand a unified data and security foundation. The acquisition is subject to customary closing conditions, including regulatory approvals, and is expected to close in Palo Alto Networks’ second half of fiscal year 2026.
