DOJ Antitrust Division Makes First Whistleblower Payment for Reporting Antitrust Crime
On January 29, 2026, the U.S. Department of Justice’s (DOJ) Antitrust Division announced the first payment made under its Whistleblower Rewards Program. The whistleblower received a reward of $1 million for providing information that led to a company agreeing to pay a $3.28 million criminal fine to resolve antitrust and fraud charges.

DOJ Settles Its Algorithmic Price-Fixing Case Against RealPage
On November 24, 2025, the Department of Justice (DOJ) filed a proposed settlement to resolve its antitrust claims against the revenue management software company, RealPage Inc. (RealPage), related to certain of its algorithmic rental pricing software products. RealPage did not admit to liability, but did agree to “undertake certain actions and refrain from certain conduct,” as described in detail below. This settlement comes on the heels of a surge of lawsuits, legislation, and scrutiny relating to algorithmic pricing software over the past few years.

Wilson Sonsini Advises Kerecis on $1.3 Billion Acquisition by Coloplast
On August 31, 2023, Coloplast announced the completion of the acquisition of Kerecis, after receiving approval from all relevant authorities and reaching a shareholder acceptance level of 100 percent. The two companies had previously announced the agreement to acquire Kerecis on July 7, 2023, for up to $1.3 billion, of which $1.2 billion is an upfront cash payment. The terms of the transaction and the financial assumptions stated in Coloplast's initial stock exchange announcement regarding the acquisition of Kerecis remain unchanged. The equity capital raise related to the financing of the acquisition was completed by Coloplast on August 30, 2023.

On May 18, 2023, software company GTreasury announced a majority investment from Hg, an investor in global software and services companies. Mainsail Partners, a Wilson Sonsini client and the current majority owner, and members of the GTreasury management team will remain as investors in the business. Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati advised GTreasury on the transaction.
