On January 30, 2026, ALX Oncology Holdings Inc., a clinical-stage biotechnology company focusing on novel therapies designed to treat cancer and extend patients’ lives, announced the pricing of an underwritten offering of 76,979,112 shares of common stock and, in lieu of common stock to certain investors, pre-funded warrants to purchase 18,574,120 shares of common stock in the offering. The gross proceeds of the offering are expected to be approximately $150 million before deducting the underwriting discounts and commissions and other estimated offering expenses, and excluding the exercise of any pre-funded warrants. Wilson Sonsini Advises Hexagon Bio on Multimillion-Dollar Joint Venture with Corteva
On December 16, 2025, Corteva, a global leader in agricultural technology, and Hexagon Bio, a biotechnology company pioneering a new way to discover nature-derived medicine, announced a multimillion-dollar joint venture (JV) to accelerate the development of new crop protection solutions inspired by nature. The JV is the first in the agriculture sector for Hexagon Bio and the first in the pharmaceutical industry for Corteva. Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati advised Hexagon Bio on the transaction.

The partnership brings together Corteva’s billion-dollar nature-inspired crop protection franchises and bacterial natural product discovery capabilities with Hexagon Bio’s natural-product discovery platform to advance the companies’ respective pipelines across agriculture and human health. Hexagon Bio’s platform combines microbial genetics, artificial intelligence, chemistry, and synthetic biology to identify and characterize novel natural products, uncovering diverse mechanisms not obvious from the chemical structure or conventional techniques and allowing for more efficient molecule discovery.

On February 26, 2025, Eikon Therapeutics, Inc., a pivotal-stage biotechnology company that integrates advanced engineering with cutting-edge molecular and cell biology to accelerate drug discovery and development, announced the initial closing of a $350.7 million Series D financing. The round was led by Eikon’s existing investors, with participation from new investors. Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati represented certain of the investors in the transaction.

The investment syndicate is composed of top mutual funds, sovereign wealth funds, and healthcare and technology-focused venture firms, including Lux Capital, Alexandria Venture Investments, AME Cloud Ventures, The Column Group, E15 VC, Foresite Capital, General Catalyst, Soros Capital, StepStone Group, funds and accounts advised by T. Rowe Price Associates, Inc., and UC Investments (Office of the Chief Investment Officer of the Regents of the University of California), among others.

Eikon’s clinical portfolio is anchored by its lead program, EIK1001, a systemically administered co-agonist of toll-like receptors 7 and 8 now in a Phase III trial for advanced melanoma. In parallel, the company is advancing EIK1003, a highly selective PARP1 inhibitor currently undergoing Phase 1 evaluation in patients with breast, ovarian, prostate, or pancreatic cancers, and EIK1004, a central nervous system-penetrant PARP1-selective inhibitor poised to initiate Phase 1 studies targeting brain cancers.

On June 13, 2024, InduPro, Inc., a biotechnology company defining protein spatial relationships to create novel therapeutics for the treatment of cancer and autoimmune diseases, announced an $85 million Series A financing co-led by The Column Group and Vida Ventures with participation from investors, including MRL Ventures Fund (the therapeutics-focused venture fund of Merck & Co, Inc.), Emerson Collective, and Euclidean Capital. The financing will support the advancement of the first expected clinical product candidate targeting cancer tissue based on the proximity of co-targeted pairs, from preclinical development to an expected IND filing in Q4 2025 for a Phase 1 clinical trial. It will also fuel a pipeline of novel bispecific antibodies and antibody drug conjugates (ADCs) that utilizes protein proximity for identification of novel tumor selective target pairings.

Assembly Bio’s current portfolio of small molecule antiviral therapeutics includes both clinical and preclinical programs, including next-generation core inhibitor ABI-4334 for the treatment of HBV, long-acting helicase-primase inhibitor ABI-5366 for herpes simplex virus (HSV), an orally bioavailable HDV entry inhibitor ABI-6250, and a pan-herpes polymerase inhibitor program.
