Wilson Sonsini is a proud sponsor of The Great Salt Lake Rendezvous in partnership with Grow the Flow Utah.
This gathering of multi-disciplinary stakeholders will explore opportunities to realize our shared commitment to restore Great Salt Lake.
Great Salt Lake is the largest saline lake in the Western Hemisphere, fueling a multibillion-dollar lake economy, providing refuge for 12 million migratory birds each year, and augmenting 10 percent of Utah's snowpack through lake-effect storms.
It is also on the verge of collapse—like more than 100 saline lakes across the globe. Great Salt Lake's dessication will impact Utah's ability to grow prospersously, ruin our reputation as the nation's premiere outdoor destination, and, most importantly, negatively affect the air 2.5 million residents breathe each day.
No community has successfully restored a saline lake, but Utah is poised to be the first. It will require bold decision-making, unprecedented cross-sector collaboration, and long-term commitments to save Great Salt Lake.
Join us at the Natural History Museum of Utah for a day filled with innovative ideas and inspiring discussions to address one of the greatest unsolved ecological crises of the athropocence. This gathering will bring together entrepenuers, technological innovators, state leaders, legal and policy experts, and NGOs to unite for a common cause: rapidly restoring Great Salt Lake.
This event will feature expert panel discussions, intimate conversations, and networking opportunities.
