Annie Datesh is Wilson Sonsini's chief innovation officer. She leads the firm's Innovation & Applied AI function, works with firm management to set AI strategy, and oversees a multidisciplinary team that designs, builds, and deploys AI solutions across the firm's practices and for its clients. Her focus goes beyond adoption to address the structural questions that AI raises for law firms: how legal work is delivered, how it is priced, and how the next generation of lawyers is trained.

Annie is a frequent speaker, author, and commentator on how AI is reshaping both legal services and the economics of the legal industry. She sits on the board of the Open Cap Table Coalition and advises both clients and industry groups on the legal and operational implications of emerging technologies and business models.

Annie brings an uncommon combination of perspectives to her role. Having worked as a Big Law attorney, as in-house counsel at companies from early-stage start-up through IPO, and as a technologist with eight years of experience building legal software, she now brings a fourth lens as a legal tech buyer, evaluating and deploying technology on the law firm side. Annie began her career as a corporate and securities attorney in Wilson Sonsini's Palo Alto office, representing companies from formation through exits in both in the public and private markets. She was seconded to Square during its IPO, and later served on the leadership team of Atrium, a venture-backed legal tech start-up, where she built and oversaw several products and departments.
