Stephen Olshemski is an associate in the San Diego office of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, where he focuses on patent prosecution and intellectual property counseling, serving clients in a wide range of technology fields, including the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.

During law school, Stephen worked at the Intellectual Property and Entrepreneurial Law Clinic at MSU’s College of Law. In this role, he performed a wide range of tasks, including counseling and preparing patentability reports for clients; completing patent validity searches and reports; and counseling clients on assignments. While a student, Stephen was awarded a Jurisprudence Award in property law and in biotechnology law seminar.

Before beginning his legal career, Stephen graduated from pharmacy school, where he gained experience in fields such as the pharmaceutical industry, clinical research, community medicine, community pharmacy association management, and in hospital practice. In pharmacy school, Stephen was involved in studying pharmaceutical interventions in patients, and worked with a site management organization in conducting clinical trials. Stephen is currently a registered pharmacist.
