Sebastian Thess is an associate in the Brussels office of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati. His practice focuses on all matters surrounding European as well as German privacy and data protection law and includes advisory, transactional, regulatory, and policy matters. He has a particularly strong focus on helping clients with privacy compliance concerning multi-jurisdictional as well as cross-border data transfers. Additionally, he advises companies on current and upcoming EU regulations concerning digital services, such as the Artificial Intelligence Act and the Digital Services Act.  

Before joining the firm, Sebastian clerked at the Berlin Court of Appeals, worked for the German Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Action as well as the Humboldt University of Berlin.

In addition to German, Sebastian is fluent in English and proficient in Spanish.
