Sean Anderson is an associate in Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati’s Century City office, where he is a member of the patent litigation group. His practice focuses on intellectual property litigation, with an emphasis on pharmaceutical patent litigation under the Hatch-Waxman Act. Sean has represented clients as both plaintiffs and defendants in a variety of complex technology areas, including pharmaceuticals, medical methods, medical devices, and consumer electronics.
Prior to joining the firm, Sean was an associate in the intellectual property group at Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo, where he represented clients in intellectual property matters, including patent, trademark, and trade secret litigation. He also advised employers in a broad range of industries on issues relating to employee mobility and restrictive covenants. Sean was previously an associate in the patent litigation group at Goodwin Procter, where he represented life science and technology companies in patent and trade secret litigation. Prior to law school, Sean worked as a bioprocess manufacturing technician at Genentech.
In addition to his commercial work, Sean is actively involved in pro bono work. He has represented clients in immigration matters and provided guidance to nonprofit organizations and small businesses on intellectual property-related matters. In law school, Sean was a student attorney in Boston University’s BU/MIT Startup Law Clinic, which offers pro bono legal services to early-stage Boston University and MIT start-ups.
