Dr. Prateek Kalakuntla is a patent agent in the Palo Alto office of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, where he is a member of the patents and innovations practice. He has extensive experience with next-generation sequencing data and the methods used to analyze it. He also has experience in machine learning, behavioral neuroscience, developmental biology, and imaging.
Prior to joining the firm, Prateek earned his Ph.D. from Stanford University in the lab of Dr. Bo Wang. His thesis focused on leveraging next-generation sequencing data alongside graph and transformer-based algorithms to identify patterns in neural evolution across vertebrates. During graduate school, he also led DB CORE, a student organization that ran a first-year mentorship program, a departmental journal club, and a yearly panel for prospective students, among other initiatives.
