Phil K. Rucker has been serving as the Managing Attorney for the litigation department’s “Office of the Clerk” since 2022.
From 2011 to 2016, Phil was an associate in Wilson Sonsini's securities and commercial litigation practice groups, representing companies and individuals in civil litigation throughout the United States in federal and state courts, and in connection with government investigations, including those by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
Following that, from 2016 to 2019, Phil was a litigation attorney at Kennedy Archer & Giffen in Monterey, California. In this role, he focused on representing entities and individuals in civil lawsuits including claims involving breaches of fiduciary duty, fraud, breach of contract, and personal injury. Phil then rejoined Wilson Sonsini in 2019 as a staff attorney, supporting the litigation department.
During law school, Phil served as an extern to the Honorable Stephen V. Wilson of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.
