Mikaela Burkhardt is an associate in the Palo Alto office of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati. She represents clients in high-stakes commercial litigation across federal and state courts and in arbitration, handling matters from inception through trial and appeal, with a practice centered on breach of contract, fraud, trademark, and intellectual property claims.

Mikaela successfully defended a class action brought by digital advertisers in the Northern District of California, securing dismissal of breach of contract and unfair competition claims on a motion to dismiss, a result subsequently affirmed on appeal. She has also served as lead associate in complex commercial arbitrations, including a multi-day fee dispute arbitration arising from a $140 million class action settlement, in which the arbitrator awarded her client over $18 million in attorneys' fees.

In addition to her commercial practice, Mikaela maintains an active pro bono practice. She has represented clients in federal court on civil rights and human rights matters, including obtaining a rare denial of qualified immunity, and has represented several asylum seekers.

Mikaela also serves on the board of directors of Community Services Agency, a nonprofit organization providing essential services to low-income individuals, seniors, and those experiencing homelessness in the Bay Area.
