Michael Soud is a corporate associate in Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati’s London office, where he focuses on advising U.S. and European technology start-ups and scale-ups through all stages of their corporate life cycle, including incorporation, commercial contracts, venture capital financings, mergers and acquisitions, public listings, and other strategic transactions. Michael is experienced in cross-border M&A and has advised on various U.S. securities law issues and SEC-registered transactions including equity and debt issuance, SPACs, and deSPACs.

Michael also counsels enterprises in the blockchain, cryptoasset and digital assets space in relation to securities law issues and issuances and financing transactions. He has experience with analysis of cryptoassets under securities law and other regulations including in relation to NFTs and stablecoins.

Prior to joining the firm, Michael was an associate at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP in its London and Hong Kong offices. Michael is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and was previously a regular host on a Taiwanese variety TV show.

Wilson Sonsini Advises QuantWare on $178 Million Series B
On May 5, 2026, QuantWare, a leading industrial quantum processor company, announced a $178 million Series B equity fundraising following the announcement of VIO-40K™, a quantum processor architecture for 10,000 qubits, 100x larger than the state of the art today. New investors joining the round include Intel Capital, IQT, and ETF Partners, with participating existing investors including FORWARD.one and Invest-NL Deep Tech Fund, InnovationQuarter Capital, Ground State Ventures, and Graduate Ventures. The round was heavily oversubscribed and is the largest private round raised by a dedicated quantum processor company to date. Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati advised QuantWare on the transaction.

QuantWare is the only company that designs, fabricates, and integrates modular quantum processors on an open architecture at an industrial scale. The company is building KiloFab, the world’s largest dedicated quantum open architecture fab, increasing its production capacity by 20x to meet strong global customer demand.
