Dr. Garrett T. Potter is an associate in the Seattle office of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, where he is a member of the patent litigation group. His practice focuses on representing clients in Patent Trial and Appeal Board proceedings such as inter partes review and post-grant review. His practice also includes patent prosecution in a wide array of technologies such as chemical, pharmaceutical, mechanical device, and life science industries.
Garrett’s scientific experience involves both industry and academia. He received his Ph.D. in chemistry from The University of Manchester, where he researched medicinal carbohydrate chemistry for the development of an oncological target inhibitor. Before attending graduate school, he worked in the pharmaceutical industry with biopharmaceutical start-ups in San Diego.
Prior to joining the firm, he conducted postdoctoral research at Stanford University and The University of Manchester, focusing on medicinal and carbohydrate chemistries.
