Chimene Cooper is an associate in Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati’s Employment Law practice. With a strong litigation background, Chimene represents employers in both federal and state court and before administrative agencies, guiding them in resolving issues pertaining to discrimination, retaliation, restrictive covenants and trade secrets, wrongful termination, and compensation disputes, among other matters. She also counsels employers through all facets of employment, including, but not limited to, employee classification and audits, reductions-in-force, internal investigations, the drafting of nuanced employment agreements, and company policies. Furthermore, Chimene advises companies through various business transactions such as mergers and acquisitions, honing in on any employment-related aspects of a given transaction to mitigate risk and maximize potential value.
Aside from her daily practice, Chimene dedicates much of her pro bono time to family, criminal, and immigration law matters, knowing the importance of and the need for effective legal advocacy and representation in underserved and underrepresented communities.
