Cherie Beffa is the chief attorney recruiting officer at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, where she leads the strategy and development of the firm’s non-partner attorney and patent agent recruiting programs. In her role, she oversees all facets of recruiting, including entry-level and lateral hiring, summer program management, brand building, onboarding, integration, and retention efforts. Cherie collaborates closely with firm management, department leaders, practice leaders, and the firm’s hiring committee to develop, implement, and execute recruiting initiatives that align hiring strategy with the firm’s strategic growth plan.

With over 25 years of experience in the legal industry, Cherie brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership to her position, providing vision and direction in the design and execution of recruiting priorities and strategies. Before joining Wilson Sonsini, she worked at two other prominent law firms, focusing on attorney recruiting and diversity initiatives. Cherie is a former president of the National Association for Law Placement (NALP) and is a frequent speaker at law schools and legal conferences, where she shares her expertise on recruiting and diversity in the legal profession.
