Catherine Lyons is an associate in the Delaware office of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, where she is a member of the restructuring practice. Catherine has experience representing corporate debtors, creditors, lenders, asset purchasers, independent fiduciaries, and special committees in complex cases under Chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code. She has also counseled clients with respect to cases under Chapters 7 and 15 of the Bankruptcy Code, out-of-court restructurings, financial workouts, dissolutions, wind-downs, assignments for the benefit of creditors, and cross-border insolvency proceedings. Catherine is admitted to practice in Delaware, New York, and Texas, and has broad experience counseling clients in proceedings pending before bankruptcy courts, district courts, and courts of appeals around the country.
Prior to joining the firm, Catherine practiced in the corporate restructuring group at Young Conaway Stargatt & Taylor, LLP, where she counseled and advised financially-distressed clients across a broad array of industries. She began her legal career in the finance group at Shearman & Sterling LLP (now Allen Overy Shearman Sterling LLP), where she represented administrative agents, collateral agents, issuers, lenders, and borrowers in syndicated leveraged financings, securitizations, debt and equity security offerings, and structured finance transactions.
