Carmen Sobczak is an associate in the internet strategy and litigation group at Wilson Sonsini. Based in San Francisco, she represents internet and digital media companies in complex litigation involving online speech, content moderation, platform design, and generative AI. She also advises clients on compliance with state and federal laws governing online platforms and emerging technologies.
Carmen maintains an active pro bono practice. She has authored amicus briefs in cases at the intersection of technology and the First Amendment and regularly represents asylum seekers in immigration court proceedings.
Carmen previously worked as a software engineer at Ravel Law, a legal research and analytics company acquired by LexisNexis in 2017. During law school, Carmen interned at the Electronic Frontier Foundation and co-founded the Digital Rights Project at Berkeley Law.
