Benjamin Hewitt is an associate in the New York office of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, where he is a member of the firm's internet strategy and litigation group. He represents internet and media companies in complex, high-stakes litigation concerning online content moderation, the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act, and the First Amendment.
Ben also maintains an active pro bono practice, working with clients to get juvenile records sealed, uncontested divorces, Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS), and asylum. He currently serves on the Pro Bono Associate Advisory Board of the New York Legal Assistance Group, a leading civil legal services organization combating economic, racial, and social injustice.
During law school, Ben was an extern at the Knight First Amendment Institute at Columbia University, and was executive submissions editor of the Science and Technology Law Review.
