On September 15, 2017, Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati was named winner of the capital markets category in The Recorder's 2017 "Corporate Department of the Year" awards. The firm was honored at a special awards event on November 16, 2017, in San Francisco.

Among other things, WSGR was recognized for advising GoDaddy in complex follow-on and repurchase deal pegged at $927 million and $275 million respectively and for advising Mulesoft Inc. in its $221 million initial public offering.
