On May 20, 2020, Yale Law Women (YLW) published its 15th annual Top Firms for Gender Equity & Family Friendliness Report, which recognized Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati as a top firm for "hiring practices" relating to gender equity and diversity.

Each year, YLW produces the report to raise awareness of inequities within the legal profession, highlight progress being made in the industry, and identify areas for improvement.

“We are honored to be recognized by YLW for our ongoing efforts and initiatives geared toward gender equity and family friendliness. It was a true honor to be recognized two years in a row for our continued efforts to support our women and diverse attorneys,” said Wilson Sonsini Professional Development & Diversity Manager Jullia Carretta.

In previous years, YLW published holistic Top Ten Lists; however, beginning this year, individual firms were honored for excelling in specific categories that relate to overall gender equity and family friendliness, in an aim to respect the diverse needs and preferences of those in the legal profession with the understanding that creating equitable workplaces will not entail a one-size-fits-all solution.
