On April 25, 2025, Wilson Sonsini was honored with the 2025 National Public Service Award during the American Bar Association's (ABA’s) Business Law Section Spring Meeting in Louisiana. The prestigious recognition is presented annually to individual lawyers and law firms that have "demonstrated dedication to the development or delivery of pro bono legal services." This year, Wilson Sonsini and one individual received the award.
The National Public Service Award "recognizes significant pro bono legal contributions of law firms, corporate law departments, and individual business lawyers that demonstrate a commitment to providing legal services to individuals and entities that could not otherwise afford them,” the ABA notes. The firm received the award primarily for transactional work assisting various nonprofits that serve communities.
