Wilson Sonsini was named a winner for "Deal of the Year: M&A" for acting as lead counsel to DoorDash in its acquisition of Wolt. The accompanying profile notes that because the transatlantic deal was able to navigate capital market disclosures from the application of Finnish, U.S., and Japanese prospectus requirements, it may offer "valuable precedent" to similar deals. The profile also highlights that "one of the key innovations was in the structuring of the priority waterfall for Wolt shareholders, which was complicated by Wolt having previously conducted eight equity raising rounds."
